Today we workshopped Ladefoged's, Dresher's and Pierrhumbert's ideas using Herd's (2005) concrete case of loanword adaptation into Hawaiian and NZ Maori as discussed in Dresher 2009.

Each student listed example papers on representations related to their interests.
We discussed them thematically, and identified a tentative semester-long organization in which these themes and accompanying papers could be approached.
